I am accredited in training delivery by the Training Foundation (TAP Cert. 2014) and have delivered training for Citizens’ Advice workers, social work and health professionals, housing co-operatives, theatre companies, artists, teachers, head teachers and prisoners.

Facilitation and training experiences include:
Trainer, Cape UK, 2015-2016: Led induction and planning days for head teachers and teachers registered on the Artsmark programme in schools.
Facilitator, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, 2014-16: Produced and facilitated a conference bringing together 71 theatre companies and representatives of leading funding bodies to debate next practice in participatory performing arts. Ran quarterly Learning Days and Action Learning Sets for recipients of Gulbenkian funding.
Facilitator (with Teo Greenstreet), CidaCo, 2014: Co-designed and facilitated input on sustainable business development for Arts Council England’s Developing Cultural Resilience programme with 100 arts organisations.
Facilitator, Shirle Hill Co-Housing Project, Sheffield, 2013: Facilitated two visioning and trouble-shooting days for a group of families developing a shared housing project.
Professional Learning Development Manager, Cape UK, 2009-2011: Designed and organised training events for school leaders and teachers on behalf of Cape UK, the leading creative learning agency in Yorkshire and Humberside. e.g. I led a creative thinking day with 150 teachers from the Brigshaw Cooperative Schools Federation near Leeds to generate ideas for a programme of collaborative projects.
Creative Director, Creative Partnerships Sheffield, 2005-2009: Designed and delivered training and networking events for local authority officers, senior school leaders, teachers and school business partners. Action Learning Sets were a key component. e.g. I facilitated a ‘Creative Conversation’ for the Chief Executive of Children’s Services, exploring the relationship between inspiration and rigour in education.
Director, Crucible Youth Theatre, 1997-2005: As well as regular teaching and directing, I co-designed and facilitated a youth leadership development programme using drama-based methods. Eight participants took their skills to Japan to work with teenagers and children there.
Trainer, Cultural Partnerships, 1997: Trained youth and health workers in the use of Forum Theatre methods for HIV education in Italy & Belgium.
Deputy Manager, Halifax Citizens’ Advice Bureau, 1991-94: Led in-house and regional training. e.g. I delivered HIV awareness training to bureaux across Yorkshire & Humberside.
